QinetiQ Rail Services attended the Middle East Rail in Dubai (4-5 February, 2014), the leading rail event in the Middle East, which showcases the latest technology and rail projects in the region. The show attracted over 3,000 visitors, 150 exhibitors, and hosted a series of hot-topic seminars run by leading rail suppliers designed for engineers and those in charge of maintenance, track and signalling.

Xavier Quayzin, Head of Rail Services, delivered a technical seminar at the event on ‘Safety and Security of an Integrated Transport System’ to an audience including leading technical experts from across the globe. The seminar demonstrated how Cyber Security is becoming an increasing concern to the safe operation of transport systems and ways in which the two domains must work together to assure the safety of rail users.
